We should create a strong digital footprint on social media and internet. Why?
Because social media can show furnish report of our digital movement. What we are doing / what’s going on our mind/ what’s our thinking etc.
Rather spending valuable time without planning of it, a strong social media account can be an asset if this is used properly.
Yes, Facebook and LinkedIn are not same. Differentiating the activities of these.
Facebook can be used casually but not in LinkedIn. Being as a professional, LinkedIn account should be organised. A well-furnished account can create a positive thought to recruiter. Also, though Facebook is used casually but there should have some limitations while using it. Unnecessary talking can be a barrier rather fun can be done.
Twitter is not as much popular in BD. However, we should have a twitter account along with Instagram which is very famous in our country. After-all digital footprint needed for branding ourselves.
Personal YouTube channel is a one way but should be interactive media of ours. Video resume can be made and upload that in our channel. That video link can be attached while applying for a job. Recruiter can get a better idea about ourselves. How we talk and how we smile.
A personal website can be a personal Wikipedia as per my opinion. I strongly believe a personal website is a storage of our all documents and activities. Recruiter can easily go through the site and can get idea about professionalism.
Now search on GOOGLE by your name. Find out the result and keep that record in yourself. How much number of links come while searching by your name on GOOGLE. Does it satisfy you? If not. Create a strong digital footprint. It feels better than before.
I personally trying to follow the key points written above. Still developing myself by learning new things from here and there.
